Funky pink and brown wedding cake
April 28, 2008I made this cake for a friend’s wedding today. The bottom layer is chocolate mud cake with ganache, middle is carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and the top is lemon sponge with lemon buttercream. The decorations are all white icing/fondant. To make the brown I used cocoa, which made the icing much stiffer (and harder to roll) as I needed a great deal to get the hue I wanted – so I think some brown gel colour might be a useful investment!
I’ve got a couple of other cakes toΒ post (three orders this weekend!) but am utterly exhausted and tomorrow uni starts back – and I have many other things to catch up on as well, so those will have to wait. π
Wow, I think that’s one of your best yet!
